Paneer Methi Chaman Bahar (Cottage Cheese and Fenugreek Delight) {Recipe}


Chef Trilok Singh from the Solluna Resort, was kind enough to share this recipe with me. Tried it myself and was surely delighted :)

You’ll need:

  1. Kasoori Methi (Dried fenugreek leaves)
  2. Cashew nuts
  3. Cream
  4. Curd (Dahi)
  5. Paneer (cottage cheese)
  6. Onion (sliced thin)
  7. Garlic Cloves
  8. Cumin Seeds
  9. Green Chillies
  10. Ginger
  11. Salt
  12. Oil

How to:

  1. Soak Kasoori Methi leaves in water.
  2. Roast onion slices, galic, ginger till brown.
  3. Grind the roasted ingredients along with gree chillies, curd, cashew nuts and cream till they form a fine puree.
  4. Dice paneer into cubes.
  5. Mix the above puree, salt, water and diced paneer and cook well.
  6. Chop the soaked kasoori methi leaves finely.
  7. Heat a little oil and roast cumin seeds till they turn brown.
  8. Add chopped Kasoori Methi and saute well.
  9. Add this over the paneer and gravy mixture.
  10. Serve hot with naan and roti.
