Simon Says Stamp | August 2018 card kit – Mandy’s Flowers – Card idea 6

Hi friends, we have been using several gorgeous floral images from Simon Says Stamp Mandy’s Flowers cards for last few days. Today I will show you how you can use the sentiment stamps with several patterned papers to make a card. And yes, you can change a little bit here and there to make good use of all those pretty scraps in your stash.

I wanted to use the pretty papers from the card kit because they were so lovely. But I could not decide on just a few ones, so I went with several of them. From each of them, I die cut circles of various sizes. Hero Arts Circle infinity dies worked best for this die cutting. Next I arranged them in three different clusters on my card base while my cardbase was inside MISTI. Then I positioned my main sentiment – the large ‘thank you’ – and a leaf sprig, towards the center and stamped it with Archival Black ink.

Then I adhered all the circles such that each cluster had one foam mounted one and another one that went outside the edge of cardbase. After everything was in place securely, I took the card back to my MISTI and stamped all the smaller sentiments. Now my card reads “thank you for your kindness, for your love, for everything”. As finishing touches, I added sequins in soft matching colors and called this project done.

The same idea can be done with other shapes too – hearts, stars, hexagons – anything will work. These can be easily mass produced by die cutting a bunch of shapes at a time and assembling multiples of these cards. Do give this idea a try and let me know how it worked for you :-)
