Two more cards using Pinkfresh Studio Fancy Floral 2 die

Two more cards using Pinkfresh Studio Fancy Floral 2 die

Hi friends, did you like the idea of customizing die cuts created with cover dies? You can check out the earlier cards here. I have a couple more cards using the same die and same idea – this time I used a patterned paper as background for one card and watercolored background for second one. The one important change I did is to keep my die cut as contiguous as possible. I did not pick and choose flowers and leaves from different places as I did with the older cards.

Card 1:

I used another paper from Bazzill Basics – this one is white with golden’ish marble design on it. After cutting with SSS Stitched rectangle die, I heat embossed the word “congrats” with SSS Ultra Fine gold embossing powder. This stamp is from the Pinkfresh Studio Bloom stamp set. Next I adhered my gold fussy cut die cut and also added a few leftover circles. Finally I mounted this panel on a craft card base and called this card done.

Card 2:

For this card, I cut out a stitched rectangle panel using SSS dies and Strathmore watercolor paper. I went in with very light wash of my (new favorite) distress inks – Salty Ocean, Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed. I stamped a couple sentiments from same Bloom stamp set in archival black ink. I adhered a similar gold fussy cut die cut piece and to bring in some of the black I lined one side with black washi tape. A few matching sequins before adhering this panel on a white card base and this project was done.

There you have it – two more ideas to get more out of cover dies. Do give these a try. Cover dies are usually a little bit more expensive than smaller ones. So getting more out them is always a good idea, don’t you think?
