Spellbinders | Large Die of the Month | tic-tac-toe card?

Hi everyone and Happy Mother’s Day to all the lovely Moms, Aunts and Grandmas. You are amazing! What would the world be without you?!

To salute the love, I am sharing a love themed tic-tac-toe card I made using Spellbinders Large Die of the Month kit. I did use only two dies from the kit for this in addition to other dies and a stamp set from Spellbinders. Any heart die + another die that is almost like an X, will do for this project. We will use the hearts to be ‘O’ and the other die to be the ‘X’ on the tic-tac-toe board.

I started by trimming a Neenah Dessert Storm panel to be slightly smaller than the card that comes in Spellbinders Card kit. Next I used the largest Hemstitch Rectangle to add those little details to the panel. I also used distress ink Antique Linen with Simon Says Stamp Quilted Hearts background stamp to add some subtle details to this panel.

Next I worked on my focal point. I cut one of the textured white cardstocks that came in Spellbinders Card Kit with Fancy Edged rectangle dies to cut out a rectangle. On this one I simply used my Prismacolor XtraFine Black Fine Line Marker to draw lines. Next I used a couple dies from Spellbinders Large Die of the Month kit to cut out 3 hearts and 4 stars.

I layered these both panels (white and kraft)  the way I wanted in my MISTI and stamped the sentiment. This sentiment came from Spellbinders You’re My Type stamp set that was included in one of their older card kits. And then I assembled everything as you see here.
