Spellbinders | August Card Kit Idea #1

Hi guys, we are starting this month’s crafting marathon with card idea #1 for Spellbinders ‘Hang with me’ card kit. As I showed in yesterday’s unboxing video, is a very tropical one – tropical colors, sloths (a sloth stamp, die and ephemera!!!) and some fun leaves. I love every part of it.

For today, I decided to use the dies for leaves and flowers to make a wreath.

These leaves really remind me of coconut palm leaves, but I just decided to use them like normal leaves for this card :-) I used the card base from the kit and several papers in green, blue and a gold mirrored one from my stash (old card kits!) Next I arranged the leaves one by one – I started by adhering the back side of a leaf leaving the front loose. Then I tucked another leaf under the first one and secured its back side + the front of the former one and so on. I did the same across the entire wreath and then stamped the sentiment using MISTI. Lastly I added flowers – with foam squares + liquid glue along with some sequins.

That’s all :-)
