31 days of Spooktacular Video Hop – Halloween Decor

Hi friends, I am so excited to share with you today’s post. Several reasons for my excitement – it’s a video hop, and yes there are several goodies to be won and it’s a home decor project made using card making supplies! Also, Spellbinders had a huge past kits sale recently so may be several of you purchased the couple older kits I am going to use today (both were on sale) and today’s post might be just the shot of inspiration to show you that you can make more than cards with these supplies. :)

Here’s what I made for this video hop

This video hop is put together by Katy of Hook Line and Inker (instagram: @hooklineandinker). You can read all about the hop here: http://www.hooklineandinker.com/2019/08/29/31-days-of-halloween-spooktacular-video-hop/. Thanks so much, Katy for putting this hop together and letting me be a part of it. I am so grateful !

The project itself is pretty straightforward project, but looks so stunning because of all the little details and all the glitter. I used the Large and Small die of the month kits for Sep 2018 by Spellbinders for this project. All the papers (except the base black cardstock) came from Cricut 12”x12” Glitter Cardstock Sampler-Classic pack that is on Joann. So lots of $$ saved while making this project.

Here’s the video for a detailed step by step, but overall I just

  • planned everything the way I wanted it
  • die cut
  • adhered everything in place using multi medium matte liquid glue.

Yes, as you will see from the video, things evolved from planning to completion phase, but that’s the way these projects go, don’t they?
