Rolled Flowers using Felt with paper crafts

Hi crafty friends, we are at the finish line today – project 5 of 5 for using felt die cuts on paper projects. So far, we made critters (bunnies – here and here), we did a basket and we also did flowers. But we did mostly flat die cuts – single or double layers of felt. I did want to try making something more dimensional. So today, I went ahead and made rolled flowers. I started with die cutting the delicious colors from Benzie Design felt and used my trusted Surebonder detail glue gun to roll and secure these beautiful …

A spring themed shadow box using Spellbinders Small Die of the Month March 2020

Welcome back, dear friends! Today is project number 4 in a series of 5 projects where I am experimenting with using die cut felt on paper crafts. And just for giggles, I wanted to include at least one home decor project in addition to all the cards. {You can check out previous projects here, here and here.} Today, I made more bunnies – all spring colored ones for an adorable shadow box: Lots of different things going on with this one, so I am going to explain in bullet points {because helps me organize my thoughts :) }. I started …

Using dies for hot foiling + felt flowers – with Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace die of the month March 2020

Hello, hello!! Happy Friday!! You guys know I love Amazing Paper Grace dies by Becca Feeken, right? And also that I love to experiment with things and use them differently. That’s exactly what happened with today’s card: I trimmed a rectangle panel out of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock to be slightly smaller than a 5×7 card. On this panel, I hot foiled using the dies from Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace die of the month March 2020. I used the Champagne colored foil from Spellbinders. Love how it looks on Kraft cardstock. Then I assembled the flowers – die cut using …

Bunny Birthday Wishes – using Spellbinders Large Die of the Month March 2020

Hi guys, I hope your week is going good so far and that you are ready for another card inspiration :) Last month I tried incorporating Felt in my paper crafting – card making projects and loved the outcome. Encouraged by that, I decided to dive in and make more of those. And this month’s Spellbinders Die Clubs were perfect for these cards, so it was definitely something the universe wanted me to go for {at least that’s what I told myself!}. For today’s card, I made a felt bunny (yes, blush pink!) and set up a little scene around …

Mother’s Day Flower Basket Card using Spellbinders Large Die of the Month

Another Felt project today guys. I hope you all are ready. We are making a Mother’s Day flower basket card using Spellbinders Large Die of the Month. I started by using one of the cards whose card front I had dry embossed with Bright Days embossing folder from Spellbinders + Fun Stampers Journey. Next I made a white panel the same size as the card front by cutting one of the card kit cards into two. In the middle of this I cut out the whole basket. This cut out the outline as well as the bottom and top half …

If you have a friend / colleague who adores his little granddaughters – what do you do as a crafter? You make pretty hair accessories for those little princesses, of course! :D And that’s exactly what I did!! In my book: Rule number 1: any excuse to craft and spread some cheer, is a great excuse to craft and spread some cheer! Rule number 2: Never forget rule number 1! I used the latest Large Die of the Month from Spellbinders (of course!) to make these: I started by planning sets of 3 colors each from my felt stash (most …

Hello there, I hope you are slowly getting settled into some form of routine after the holidays. I am still in a little bit of post-holiday catch up, but I wanted to share with you some more felt accessories I made. She shared several very useful tips for crafting with felt and I am using several of them in today’s projects. You should definitely check her channel out if …

Felt Floral Headbands

Hi guys, one of the things I want to do in 2020 is to diversify – I want to make things with Felt and Fabric in addition to making them with paper.  And I decided to use this little holiday break for just that. Here are the two headbands I created: Blue flower headband: For the blue flowers, I used the Contour Petal Pusher steel rule die set from Spellbinders. For the main large flower, I cut one whole flower, then separated each petal on its own. For the center of this flower, I cut out a strip of darker …
