You Are Loved – stamped and colored card

Hi guys, I am hoping you all are staying safe. Not panicking. Acting with hope, strength and grace. Yes, there is a lot of chaos and uncertainty right now in the world, but we crafters have a way to find and spread sunshine wherever we go. We have a way of making people feel that they belong, that they are not alone and that they are loved. Let’s use that superpower because this is the time when the world needs it most. For today’s card, I used a panel that was the same size as an A7 card front (5×7). …

Altenew – make a wreath using leaves and flowers

Hi friends, I have one more card using mostly two stamp sets –¬†Altenew Adore You and Perfectly Perfect stamp sets and I made a wreath this time. The leaf stamp in Perfectly Perfect set has a slight curve to it and it works really well to build a round wreath. I did use some of the open leaves from Painted Flowers stamp set to make my leaves (and wreath) fuller. But I believe we can build the whole wreath using only that one leaf image from Perfectly Perfect set. To start with this card, I took the largest Simon Says …

Altenew – Painted Flowers and Painted Butterflies

Altenew fever is still going pretty strong here and today I combined two of my all time favorite sets for this card. I love the Painted flowers set and the painted butterflies one was on my wishlist for such a long time. I managed to get it in my last order and decided to play with these both together. Yes, I have been digging the blue-yellow-green combo lately. And on one of my Instagram posts, several of you also said you wanted to see a version of another of my cards in blue-yellow (Yup, that one will be coming soon …

Combining stamp sets to create a floral patterned paper

Hello friends, today I have multiple cards to share using a technique that I haven’t done in a while – creating a patterned paper using smaller images.   For today’s cards I combined several different stamp sets to create a floral pattern. I used Altenew Painted Flowers, Simon Says Stamp Friends of Life and Simon Says Stamp Cone Building (this is an older set and I think it is now discontinued). I also did a little planning and testing with several different inks before settling on the following inks Archival Black ink for the flower outlines and centers Simon Says …

Simple one layer card with stamping

SSS Everything Together one layer card

Hi friends, today I have a simple one layer card to share with you using Simon Says Stamp Everything Together stamp set. This is a 8×6 stamp set that came in May 2018 card kit. I used this stamp set with three of the SSS inks – Watermelon, Key Lime and Black. I used my MISTI to stamp the large flower first. I double stamped it to get the beautiful pink color with even coverage. I used some packaging material between stamping each image to protect my card (since I was too lazy to clean my stamp!) Next I stamped …

(Almost) One Layer Cards {and a video}

Almost one layer card- 1

Hi friends, I have an almost one layer card to share today. I love dimension on my cards but sometimes, I just want to do something more flat and today is just one such card. For this one, I used a fun technique for inking the stamps. Instead of doing dab-dab-dab on the ink pad, I rubbed the ink on top of the stamps to create those lines. Love how it added some subtle interest (almost made the images dimensional?) to the stamping. I used two distress oxide inks – Worn Lipstick and Cracked Pistachio for this card. I also …

Stamping flower clusters

Hi friends, I have a beautiful spring-y card for you today and I also made a video to go with it :-) For this card, I used a new stamp set by Simon Says Stamp – ‘Sending Flowers’. This is part of their gorgeous Mothers, Fathers and Florals release. This stamp set is intended for the outside of envelopes and have some great floral images to line the edges, a frame + lines for the address and words to stamp in place of ‘To’. For today’s card though, I only used some of the standalone images. I also cut off one …
