Happy Summer card using SSS August 2015 card kit

Happy Summer Card using SSS August 2015 card kit

SSS August 2015 card kit came with a lot of cute summer-y patterned papers and I really wanted to use them on a card to create an outdoor-sy, party-ish kinda card. Here’s how I made this one. At the end I will list all the supplies. 1. To begin, I used one of the papers with the smaller patterns and fussy cut images for the treats. They became the focal point for this card. 2. I trimmed a horizontal stripe of the wood patterned paper to create the feel of an outdoor picnic table. 3. I also used the banner stamp from the kit …

Quick and Simple Hello Sunshine card using SSS Aug 2015 card kit

Hello Sunshine card using SSS August 2015 card kit

Hello there friends. Here is a quick and simple card I made using SSS August 2015 card kit. 1. Using the ivory cardstock from the kit, I created a standard top folding card. 2. At the beginning of this year, I started exploring options for getting deeper into this hobby. I purchased some supplies from Stampin Up! and also for one month in March, I subscribed to the Simon Says Stamp card kit. My certificate course at UW took the front seat April onwards, so I discontinued the card kit subscription. But I simply fell in love with the idea of receiving awesome goodies every month and experimenting with them. So, I …

Thank You greeting card

Today I want to share something fun and exciting with you all. My new experiments, kinda new-ish hobby. Making greeting cards :-) Here’s my first sample and how-I-did-it. Please let me know your feedback. 1. I created a standard size top folding card base with the black cardstock that I had purchased from Hobby Lobby long time ago.  2. I also had two brown card stock pieces from my scraps. I trimmed them down to be 4 1/4 by 5 ~ 5 1/4. These became my middle layer for top of my card as well as inside. 3. I had …
