#UseYourCraftStash – Make Multiple – Cards with only stamps & heat embossing

Hi guys, are you ready for the next idea and tip? Today’s tip:   When you are working on one type of card – heat embossing / foiling / fun fold – give yourself time to play a little. Give yourself time to understand the technique, grasp it, find out what works for you to make those kind of projects and get comfortable. Making one project today with a technique and then using that technique after days or weeks, will not build the same comfort level. So, I always recommend making multiple. Today’s idea is pretty simple – Heat Embossing. …

Pinkfresh Studio | Card using Bloom stamp set and Indigo hills paper

Hi friends, I have one more card to share today using some more Pinkfresh Studio goodies. For this one, I used one of the patterned papers from Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills (older one) collection. I trimmed it to be slightly smaller than my A2 sized cardbase. Over this trimmed rectangle panel, I stamped the two floral images from Pinkfresh Studio’s Bloom stamp set + the two sentiments you see here using Versamark ink. Well, that’s when I made a boo-boo. I used MISTI to double stamp it, but since this patterned paper is not quite thick, it shifted a little …

Combining SSS More Spring Flowers with Spellbinders Frames

Two cards today, friends :-) Same technique, just different layout and images. Ready? I started by stamping and heat embossing several different flowers and leaves from Simon Says Stamp More Spring Flowers stamp set on watercolor cardstock. I used Simon’s Fine Gold embossing powder for this. Then I loosely watercolored all the images using Gansai Tambi watercolors. After everything was dry, I cut it out using coordinating dies. I made two clusters of these flowers and wanted to anchor it on something. That is when I thought of Spellbinders Gilded Tags and Frames die set. This set came in Spellbinders’ …

Pencil Coloring on Dark Colored Card

pencil coloring on dark card

Hello friends, you must have seen some gorgeous pencil coloring all over craft-land. Yana Smakula has shared some amazing examples and so did Debby Hughes. And I felt inspired to try it out myself. Also I won a set of coloring pencils in an Instagram giveaway by @papersparklesz, so I just had to give it a try. This here is my first attempt of pencil coloring and I did it on a dark colored card. To be honest, I don’t think I liked it as much, but I am sure I can practice and improve. I started this card by heat embossing …

Cards using Wplus9 Kind Soul

WPlus 9 - Kind Soul - Orange and Yellow Colors

Hi friends, today we are continuing the spirit of crafting with three more cards. Focal point for all these was made with the same stamp set – Wplus9 Kind Soul. I only used a couple other stamps for sentiments. I started by die cutting three Bristol watercolor paper panels using SSS stitched rectangle dies. Next, I took a piece of packaging material and added several different inks on top, sprayed it with water using mini mister and then squished it on top of each watercolor panel. The water itself moved the inks / paints around and gave some cool effects. …

Celebrate Card using SSS Floral Bliss stamp set

Hi friends, looks like I am totally into ink blending these days. I have one more quick and simple card to share today which uses this same technique. This one was made using the Simon Says Stamp Floral Bliss stamp set that came with their June Card kit. I started as usual by die cutting a stitched rectangle using the largest die from SSS stitched rectangle die set. On this I ink blended two hybrid inks from SSS – Watermelon and Lemon Zest. These both came in a set of mini ink cubes by Simon in their April 2017 card …

Card using SSS Frozen Fractals stamp set

Frozen Fractals card outside

Hi friends, sorry for my long absence. Too much going on at home and work currently. But today I managed to create a card and also a video for you. Sure feels great to be back. So, without further ado, here we go. Hint, hint: Pin this image :-) The bottom two images are from the card I created as my test piece – I used the lighter blue color vellum for this and heat embossed with clear sparkle embossing powder. For the second card (top two images) I went with the darker colored vellum and white embossing powder. In real …

Kraft, white and gold

Kraft-White-Gold-a

I love color. Truly do. But occasionally I get an itch to just do neutral / whites, with just a hint of metallic. That is how today’s card came to be. First of all I die cut a piece of kraft cardstock using largest of the stitched rectangle dies from SSS. {I consider this die set a staple in my crafting. It gives a nice finished look to the card panels.} Next I dry embossed the cut out rectangle using Square Border embossing folder from Darice. For dry embossing, I simply put my cardstock piece in between the flaps of the …
