#UseYourCraftyStash – Stray a little ;-) Hanging planters

Hi guys, keep those projects coming for the #UseYourCraftyStash! I am grateful for your support :) I hope you are ready for the next project. And it’s not a card. We (my girls and I) are getting so interested in Macrame and we are straying a little from paper crafting. It’s all good though, we are very happy with the outcomes. Today’s Tip: Stray a little. Get off your regular path. Who knows what new adventure will find you. Try a new technique. Learn something totally different. As “Lord of the Rings” author J. R. R. Tolkien says, “Not all …

And I hope you stay beautiful always :) Yup, that’s the message on today’s project too :) It’s been a while since I made a home decor project, so I decided to use this month’s Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Die of the month to create a pretty shadow box project. It’s full of feminine pink/peach colors, hint of blue-green and lots of delicate gold details.   Key Ingredients: Spellbinders APG Dies of the month for May 2020 Spellbinders Elegant …

Table top wood sign using Spellbinders APG Dies April 2020

Hi everyone, there are some projects that you just can’t wait to share, right? Today’s project was just one of those projects for me. We are still trying to celebrate my husband’s birthday and making things to cheer him up every day. Unlike other years, where we would have a gala time with our friends for a day and be done, we are trying to make him feel special in different ways. So on his actual birthday, my girls and I baked him cupcakes and we all made pani-poori aka golgappe (a popular street food in India which he loves) …

A spring themed shadow box using Spellbinders Small Die of the Month March 2020

Welcome back, dear friends! Today is project number 4 in a series of 5 projects where I am experimenting with using die cut felt on paper crafts. And just for giggles, I wanted to include at least one home decor project in addition to all the cards. {You can check out previous projects here, here and here.} Today, I made more bunnies – all spring colored ones for an adorable shadow box: Lots of different things going on with this one, so I am going to explain in bullet points {because helps me organize my thoughts :) }. I started …

Mini Accordion Album using journaling cards – from Spellbinders Card kit of the Month Feb 2020

Hi friends, I have one more quick and easy crafty project to share today. And just like my last post, this one also uses the super fun and colorful journaling cards from this month’s Spellbinders Card kit. Yes, it is a mini accordion album. I used the white cardstock from this month’s card kit and cut it into half on the longer side. I scored it every 3.5 inches, which left 0.5 inch at the end on both pieces. I scored these in accordion style and used the 0.5 inch part on one of the pieces to attach the two …

LOVE Wood Sign – upcycled from Goodwill – Valentine home decor craft

Hi friends, in Sharma household last week was just a blur – both girls got the flu bug, and I wasn’t feeling my very best either and overall it was something I am hoping doesn’t happen again, at least not anytime soon at all :( But, we are all back to our regular life now, all recovered and of course, back to crafting :) So today I decided to upcycle a wood sign I had picked up long time ago from Goodwill. It had a very manly quote with a lion picture on top and was quite worse for the …

3-D Flower bouquet using Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – Jan 2020

Hi friends, I have a 3-d project to share with you today. I have said this several times before Becca Feeken from Amazing Paper Grace is a genius of die making. I love her dies and these vignettes just take things to next level. Let me be honest here, I was intimidated at first. For one reason or another, I have always ended up using the vignette dies in a 2d project – mainly cards. But one of my goals for 2020 is to stretch myself, overcome my intimidations and be fearless in crafting. That is why you will see …

31 days of Spooktacular Video Hop – Halloween Decor

Hi friends, I am so excited to share with you today’s post. Several reasons for my excitement – it’s a video hop, and yes there are several goodies to be won and it’s a home decor project made using card making supplies! Also, Spellbinders had a huge past kits sale recently so may be several of you purchased the couple older kits I am going to use today (both were on sale) and today’s post might be just the shot of inspiration to show you that you can make more than cards with these supplies. :) Here’s what I made …

Altenew | Beautiful Peony | Ink Squishing

Hi friends, today I got a chance to play with one of the items that has been on my wish list for a long time – the Altenew Beautiful Peony stamp and die set. To start with, I used Canson watercolor paper and misted it with some clear water. Next I squished distress and distress oxide inks on a piece of packaging plastic material and then used the plastic to add that color to the damp-wet watercolor paper. For pink flowers, I used Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries Distress Oxide Inks For yellow – Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide ink For …

Bottle craft – Gift idea – Stocking stuffer

Okay friends, I have a confession – I am obsessed with the gorgeous Ornament Glimmer Plate + Die Set from Spellbinders. I just can’t stop using it.  For this one, I used a recycled Starbucks coffee glass bottle. For prepping the surface of this bottle, I removed the sticker label then scrubbed + washed the bottle thoroughly with hot water and dish soap and let it air dry. After wrapping the bottom with some multi-colored yarn, I added a floral accent to it. This floral accent is made with felt from Cricut Felt Sampler – Summer Sky. On top of …

Hi friends, I am giggling with delight as I share the project for this month’s Spellbinders Large Die of the Month for September 2019. Can you tell that I had way too much fun making this picture frame art? :-) This month’s LDOM is just perfect for fall. It has the cutest little mushrooms, gnomes and even a printable of punny, gnome-y sentiments. I am thinking of making another project with this die set and sentiment set, but later.
