#UseYourCraftStash – Background stamps – make them the star of the show!

Hi friends, we have done a lot of different fun things during this challenge. Today we are playing with background stamps. :) I often like to just go with just tone-on-tone or emboss resist or something more of a “background” thing. Today though I made two cards where the background is actually the start of the show. Key Ingredients: Simon Says Stamp Leaves and Berries background stamp Simon Says Stamp Ultra fine gold embossing powder Simon Says Stamp Ultra fine steel navy embossing powder Coloring pencils (I used the one from Simon Says Stamp’s March 2020 card kit) Martha Stewart …

#UseYourCraftStash – Make Multiple – Cards with only stamps & heat embossing

Hi guys, are you ready for the next idea and tip? Today’s tip:   When you are working on one type of card – heat embossing / foiling / fun fold – give yourself time to play a little. Give yourself time to understand the technique, grasp it, find out what works for you to make those kind of projects and get comfortable. Making one project today with a technique and then using that technique after days or weeks, will not build the same comfort level. So, I always recommend making multiple. Today’s idea is pretty simple – Heat Embossing. …

1 Kit 10 (more!) cards – Spellbinders Card Kit of the month – Nov 2019

Hi crafty friends, I have 10 (yes, more 10!) cards to share with you today, all of which use Spellbinders Card Kit of the month for Nov 2019. When it comes to Christmas color schemes, I think I am the in-between girl  – I am not a huge fan of the traditional red-green colors, and yet, I can’t handle the extra bright fuchsia kinda colors. So I really loved the the muted blue-reds-greens in this month’s card kit. Also the dies are super easy to work with yet very beautiful, so they totally stole my heart :) That’s why I …

Hi friends, my favorite time of the year is November – dry cold-ish weather, cozy clothes and hot soups, fall colors everywhere, and hearts filled with gratitude. What more can a girl ask for? To celebrate the coming of my favorite season, I created two Thanks cards using the October 2019 card kit by Simon Says Stamp. As usual both these are easy cards, not too difficult to mass produce and yet beautiful in every way. On both these, I did the following steps with a little variation for each card: Heat embossed the large floral cluster on sturdy scrapbook …

Pinkfresh Studio | Card using Bloom stamp set and Indigo hills paper

Hi friends, I have one more card to share today using some more Pinkfresh Studio goodies. For this one, I used one of the patterned papers from Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills (older one) collection. I trimmed it to be slightly smaller than my A2 sized cardbase. Over this trimmed rectangle panel, I stamped the two floral images from Pinkfresh Studio’s Bloom stamp set + the two sentiments you see here using Versamark ink. Well, that’s when I made a boo-boo. I used MISTI to double stamp it, but since this patterned paper is not quite thick, it shifted a little …

Hi friends, I hope you do keep your patience with me as I continue to play with Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers stamp set. Two cards today, friends :-) Same technique, just different layout and images. Ready?
