3 more watercolored cards using Simon Says Stamp Stronger Together card kit

Namaste! Watercoloring is going strong in my neck of the woods. And lucky for me, the current Simon Says Stamp Stronger Together card kit has 3 pre-printed watercolor cards by the amazingly talented Suzy Plantamura. I used those to create these 3 cards. For all these, I used the watercolor pencils that came with the kit. Let’s look at each of them, shall we? Card 1: I used the gray, two yellows and two greens to color these daisies. Then I fussy cut them out using my Tim Holtz mini snips and Fiskars Fingertip Precision Knife. For the background, I …

3-D Flower bouquet using Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – Jan 2020

Hi friends, I have a 3-d project to share with you today. I have said this several times before Becca Feeken from Amazing Paper Grace is a genius of die making. I love her dies and these vignettes just take things to next level. Let me be honest here, I was intimidated at first. For one reason or another, I have always ended up using the vignette dies in a 2d project – mainly cards. But one of my goals for 2020 is to stretch myself, overcome my intimidations and be fearless in crafting. That is why you will see …

A masculine-ish card for Valentine’s Day using Spellbinders Card Kit of the Month – Jan 2020

Hi friends, I love convertibles – I think they are cool (may be not always so-practical), but cool for sure. My older one loves them too, so this month’s die from Spellbinders card kit was oh so fun for us :) I also tried to make this card a bit masculine, but Valentine-themed: no bling, no pink-purple colors, but has hearts and balloons :D What do you think? For the background, I used Spellbinders “I Heart” embossing folder. I assembled the car and balloons just like I did the scooter / bike & balloons in this card:   Finally, I …

Hi friends, if you are like me, you love ephemera pieces, right? I know I do and I do love to make cards with them. I used Spellbinders Large Die of the month for Dec 2019 as well as the coordinating Kaleidoscope Petals add-on for it (sold separately). Also all the ephemera pieces, the card base as well as the cardstock used for the die cuts used here are from this month’s card kit. I love this month’s Large Die of the …

Card idea using Dec 2019 Large die of the Month from Spellbinders

Spellbinders Large Die Dec 2019

Hi friends, happy Monday! Over the weekend I played with the Large Die of the month kit for this month from Spellbinders. It’s amazing, with so many possibilities. I managed to make a couple cards out of which one I will share today. But do keep an eye on this space, because there’s definitely more where that came from ;-) So, here’s my today’s card. I am again gravitating towards blue-gold-white: I am sure you have seen several examples where the border (outermost gold border in my case here) is layered on top of the petal-row-design (my blue border). But …

Hi friends, 1st of the month – time for playing with Spellbinders Card kit and several other kits of the month! Today I have 5 cards to share using the card kit (and a video!). All of these use a really simple technique and are great for mass production – especially you are a subscriber to any card kit that has access to ephemera sets or you have a bunch of coordinated ephemera pieces. The one trick ? Use embossing folder to dry emboss and add ‘instant dimension’ on the card front. Here are 5 cards that use this trick. …

Spellbinders – Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – October 2019

She did it again, friends! The uber talented Becca Feeken created this month’s Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – October 2019 and these dies are just so pretty. I am seriously swooning over these. I used the delicious sparkly, creamy glittery cardstock that came in the Merry Everything card kit and beautiful 6×8 paper from Vicki Boutin Color Kaleidoscope paper pad to create this 5×7 card. I have been wanting to create a blue-white-and-green holiday card for quite some time now, instead of the traditional red-white-and-green. This die set gave me the perfect excuse for it. I did …

So something swoon-worthy today. You ready for it, friends? I have a card to share using the gorgeous Amazing Paper Grace die of the Month for August 2019. This is a wrap – around card – the golden die cut wraps the front and the back of this card: For this one, I layered my gold mirrored cardstock with double sided adhesive from Silhouette America and then die cut these by layering the three dies from this month APG kit. I did run through my die cut machine multiple times to get good cuts and that automatically gave the gold …
