You Are Loved – stamped and colored card

Hi guys, I am hoping you all are staying safe. Not panicking. Acting with hope, strength and grace. Yes, there is a lot of chaos and uncertainty right now in the world, but we crafters have a way to find and spread sunshine wherever we go. We have a way of making people feel that they belong, that they are not alone and that they are loved. Let’s use that superpower because this is the time when the world needs it most. For today’s card, I used a panel that was the same size as an A7 card front (5×7). …

Mother’s Day Flower Basket Card using Spellbinders Large Die of the Month

Another Felt project today guys. I hope you all are ready. We are making a Mother’s Day flower basket card using Spellbinders Large Die of the Month. I started by using one of the cards whose card front I had dry embossed with Bright Days embossing folder from Spellbinders + Fun Stampers Journey. Next I made a white panel the same size as the card front by cutting one of the card kit cards into two. In the middle of this I cut out the whole basket. This cut out the outline as well as the bottom and top half …

3-D Flower bouquet using Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month – Jan 2020

Hi friends, I have a 3-d project to share with you today. I have said this several times before Becca Feeken from Amazing Paper Grace is a genius of die making. I love her dies and these vignettes just take things to next level. Let me be honest here, I was intimidated at first. For one reason or another, I have always ended up using the vignette dies in a 2d project – mainly cards. But one of my goals for 2020 is to stretch myself, overcome my intimidations and be fearless in crafting. That is why you will see …

Spellbinders | Kits of the month | Getting more out of dies

Hi friends, I have a little bit of die cutting fun for you guys. I combined the dies from Spellbinders card kit and small die of the month kit for June 2018. The small die of the month came with a cupcake die. I used the base of that cupcake to make a flower basket :-) I did die cut as well as dry emboss it using the same die. For the handle of the basket I used the flower stem from Simon Says Stamp More Spring Flowers. I bent it and used my MISTI to stamp it in place …

Simon Says Stamp – Sending Sunshine Release Inspiration 2

Bohemian Lace card 2a

Hi folks, I do have one more inspiration to share with you using the same Bohemian Lace background stamp from Simon Says Stamp latest release Sending Sunshine. I did share one more card using the same image. You can check it out here. When I first saw this image, I was reminded of the beautiful Rangolis that we used to make in India. We used to lay down a pattern of dots and then connect them in interesting ways to make beautiful designs. I tried to create something like that here. To start with, I hear embossed the background image …

Simple and quick Mother’s Day card

Quick and Simple Mother's Day card 1

A very very simple and quick Mother’s Day card to share today, friends. I taught this as a class to my younger one’s girl scouts troop last weekend: I used Spellbinders etched alphabet dies – the letter M and die cut it twice using blue paper from my stash. I think this was a cardstock I had got from my local Joann’s store. Next I used the Butterfly Flutter die set to die cut flowers and leaves. I layered the flowers using foam square and leaves underneath the flower using liquid glue. I also used a silver sequin in the …

Happy Mother’s Day – one more card inspiration using papers from

Mother's Day card 2a

Hi friends, I have one more card to share using the paper packs from (Thank you, Maria!) For this one I used an idea that Yana Smakula often uses. (Thank you, Yana!) I created the bouquet using a stamped image from Simon Says Stamp Cone Building stamp set. I stamped the ice cream cone on a piece of light brown cardstock and fussy cut it out. I got this particular set as a part of Instagram giveaway from @glittermesilly¬†. (Thanks so much,¬†Caryn!). Unfortunately this set is now discontinued, but I’m sure any other set with a cone (like this …

Happy Mother’s Day – card using papers from

Mother's Day card 1a

Hi friends, I have a pretty Mother’s Day card to share with you today. A big thanks to Maria from Paper-Garden for sending me sample paper packs to use for these cards. I loved how these papers come in vibrant colors and the sample packs have at least a couple shimmery ones. I combined these paper packs with dies from Spellbinders – all of these dies came from their different die clubs. (By the way, these clubs are such great value for money. A must-try, I’d say…) Enough rambling now, here’s the card :-) I started by die cutting several …

Just Add H2O – Reverse watercolor

Reverse Watercoloring Featured

Hello friends! A very happy Holi to all of you!!  Today I have two colorful cards for you which are super simple to create. In both these cards I used the technique of reverse (water)coloring – the images themselves are left white with outlines either stamped or heat embossed and color washes are added around the images to highlight them. In both these cards, I started with the main watercolor panel by cutting it using SSS Stitched rectangle dies from Strathmore watercolor paper. For the smaller card, I had to do creating die cutting to get the panel exact size …

Just Add H2O – Watercolor background with inlaid die cutting

Squishy Hugs

Hi friends, life is getting busier every single day here and I am trying my best to squeeze in some time for all the crafty things. I am hoping to keep delivering some fun new techniques this month also – all focused around watercoloring. I am calling this series – Just Add H2O {after one of the Netflix series I enjoy watching :-) } Here is today’s card which combines watercoloring with inlaid die cutting technique. I combined several stamp / die sets from Simon Says Stamp for this card.  For the main watercolored panel, I die cut the largest …
