#UseYourCraftStash – Let’s talk about Mistakes & Hot Foiling

Hi everyone, for today’s tip and #UseYourCraftStash challenge – let’s talk about mistakes, shall we? As a crafter, as a businesswoman, as an employee, as a wife and mom – I do make a fair share of those. Today though I want to share with you my mistakes in crafting, specifically with hot foiling – and talk more about what they meant. I love hot foiling – love how it adds a beautiful design of bling and shine to a project. If you have played with hot foiling, you know the typical mistakes: Foiling the plate instead of the paper …

#UseYourCraftStash – Make Multiple – Cards with only stamps & heat embossing

Hi guys, are you ready for the next idea and tip? Today’s tip:   When you are working on one type of card – heat embossing / foiling / fun fold – give yourself time to play a little. Give yourself time to understand the technique, grasp it, find out what works for you to make those kind of projects and get comfortable. Making one project today with a technique and then using that technique after days or weeks, will not build the same comfort level. So, I always recommend making multiple. Today’s idea is pretty simple – Heat Embossing. …

Grateful – Fall themed card using stamps and dies from Spellbinders

Hi guys, I always create lots of ‘thank you’ cards for Thanksgiving / Fall. This is one American festival that I have adapted in my family will full heart. We use the whole month of November to focus on gratitude and kindness. For my first card this year I decided to use this month’s Even More Sentiments Etched Die Set (add on for this month’s Spellbinders Small and Large dies) to be my sentiment die. And although these sentiments work well with “Truckin Through the Seasons – Large Die of the Month Club”, I found that they work equally well …

Digi stamps created by me, how you can get them {0$ !}, Store {coupon inside} and Life updates

Hi friends, I hope you all are staying safe wherever you are. I understand these are weird times, full of uncertainty. I am a mom, a wife, a Business Analyst and a Business Owner. Up until recently, I relied heavily on my ability to plan things, to manage all these roles and to handle the expectations that come with each of them. With the way things are right now though, planning and execute according to a plan are not helping much. Out of all the skills I have learned in life, the one thing that is helping is my ability …

Quick and easy hot foiled cards using Modern Essentials collection from Spellbinders

Hi guys, I hope you are having a fantastic Monday! Today’s card is such an inspired-by card. Recently, Debby from Lime Doodle Design shared a few cards with Kraft-Black and hints of white+gold. I am so completely smitten by those that I had to use that color combo and make it mine. And when I started playing with these delicate little dot ovals from the Modern Essentials collection from Spellbinders, that is what I had on my mind. Here is the result: Card 1: A clean, modern look. I started by trimming down a rectangle of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock …

Simon Says Stamp Card Kit – Stronger Together – Card 1

Hi guys, after so many days of working on die cut based cards, I am shifting to my old love – watercolors – at least for a little bit. And the perfect companion for this was this month’s Simon Says Stamp – Stronger Together card kit for March 2020. I started by die cutting a piece of Canson watercolor paper using the largest Memory Box Warped Stitched rectangle die. Then I stamped my images on it using Archival Black ink and my trusted MISTI. I used Ooku watercolor pens that I had won in a preview giveaway. These watercolor pens …

Girl-y thank you card using Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Feb 2020

Hi friends, I am back today with another card idea – this time it is a gray-pink-purple themed thank you card using Spellbinders Small Die of the Month for Feb 2020. This is a pretty straightforward card. I used the dies as they were intended and applied one of my favorite techniques – to use stamped sentiments as part of design elements. I started by die cutting all my pieces out using the different shades of pink and purple; and also 3 solid circles using a gray-white patterned paper. I adhered them as you see here, using my favorite liquid …

Abstract scene setting with Spellbinders Large Die of the Month – Feb 2020

Hi friends, I have 3 cards to share with you today which are very much like the little children’s books with funky, abstract designs (think sparkly, square-ish clouds) and happy bright colors. What can I say? This month’s Spellbinders Large Die of the Month made me do it :) Ready? Here you go: Card 1: A wild flower or Ranunculus, I don’t really know, but I used the several round-ish shapes to create it. For the clouds I went with the square-ish shapes, the leaves the three pointy ones, the stalk, again the three long pointy onesĀ  and the three …
