DIY little rainbow felt backpack-keychains using Spellbinders Large Die of the Month – Feb 2020

Hi guys, if you have been here long enough, you know I like to use paper crafting / card making supplies to make other things too and today is just one more such post :)

Yes, I did make a card but I also made two little backpack keychains – and all of these with cute little rainbows :)

I have been seeing several of these little rainbow wall hangings like this cute one below from The Heartfelt Creative on Etsy:

And this is what inspired me for today’s crafting session.

For all my rainbows I used the U shaped die, but that one only cuts the largest and the smallest arcs of the rainbow. After cutting each color felt, I used my scissors to trim out the negative arc in the middle and that’s how I got my 3-colored rainbow. I also used some pink and green felt sheets to create a couple cute flowers. For the flower centers, I stitched a sequin + a pearl.

For the backside, I used some gray felt. I also used a couple ribbon pieces to make hangers for the keychains and on two rainbows out of three I added some yarn at the ends of the rainbows.

For the card, I used a sentiment from this month’s kit with Black Simon Says Stamp ink + added couple more sequin + bead combo using Multi Medium Matte.

So, Yay or Nay? Let me know in the comments below. I can’t wait to hear what you think…
