Dual embossing with Altenew Craft Your Life - Garden Rose kit

Hi everyone, today I decided to share a card using Altenew Craft Your Life - Garden Rose kit and a fun trick. To create a background, we will do dual embossing - embossing two different designs on the same background panel.

This trick can be used with several different supplies from your stash. Although this kit is great value for money and I'd highly recommend it, the supplies from this kit are not mandatory for doing this dual embossing.

Key Ingredients:

  1. Altenew Craft Your Life - Garden Rose kit

  2. Altenew watercolors - the Essentials st

  3. Altenew Majestic Bloom die set

  4. Altenew watercolor paper pad

Steps:

  1. Using MISTI stamp the flowers and leaves. Watercolor these and allow them to completely dry. Die cut them once the images are ready.

  2. Also die cut the sentiment with gold glitter cardstock + black form and adhere these together.

  3. Create a black cardstock panel that is somewhat smaller than an A2 sized card front.

  4. On one end arrange the diagonal stencil and dry emboss. The sandwich for Spellbinders machines from bottom to top is

    1. Platform

    2. Stencil

    3. Paper

    4. Gray (soft) mat - cover only partially till the point where the diagonal lines touch top three edges of the panel.

    5. Blue (hard) mat See pictorial / video below.

  5. One the other side emboss with the 3D embossing folder. Again, the sandwich for this for Spellbinders machine is

    1. Platform

    2. Embossing folder with paper inside of it

    3. Cutting plate See pictorial / video below.

  6. Add a strip of thin gold washi tape also from Altenew.

  7. Assemble the card and embellish with a few gold gems.

Here's a quick pictorial / video of these steps. Hope it helps :-)
