Fall themed canvas art

Hi friends, today I decided to go to town with a lot of die cutting and made two canvases that are fall themed. I mixed several different products from Spellbinders and Simon Says Stamp to make these and I am so happy to share them with you :-)

Each of these is 5×7 inches. For this one, the idea to have the little squirrel hang from the tree and have the acorn came from my friend, Vinutha and I think it looks cute, don’t you? The leaves are from an older Spellbinders kit (older when the kits were called ‘Maker’s Mart’) and also the pumpkin from the second canvas below.

The squirrel is the Picture Book Squirrel die from Simon Says Stamp and so is the Thankful – 2 dies. I added some light wash of color using some acrylic tube paints and copper mirrored cardstock for the sticks, the top of acorn as well as the word ‘thankful’. The little stamped berries are from Simon Says Stamp Sketch Ranunculus stamp set.

The second one is this ‘hello fall’ one.

Similar color themes but I made a basket with several pumpkins and flowers. I used

  1. Die D-Lites Fall Botanical set for the small pumpkins and some leaves / vines,

  2. longer leaves from Spellbinders May 19 card kit,

  3. basket – which is actually supposed to be a cupcake-liner and also flowers from Spellbinders Jun 18 Small Die of the month and

  4. ‘hello fall’ greeting from the Spellbinders Oct 18 Small Die of the Month kit

After the die cutting it was all about assembling and I used some spray adhesive, strong double sided tape, foam tape as well as multi Medium matte.
