Girl-y thank you card using Spellbinders Small Die of the Month Feb 2020

Hi friends, I am back today with another card idea – this time it is a gray-pink-purple themed thank you card using Spellbinders Small Die of the Month for Feb 2020.

This is a pretty straightforward card. I used the dies as they were intended and applied one of my favorite techniques – to use stamped sentiments as part of design elements. I started by die cutting all my pieces out using the different shades of pink and purple; and also 3 solid circles using a gray-white patterned paper. I adhered them as you see here, using my favorite liquid glue – the multi medium matte.

Next I arranged them inside my MISTI and stamped all my little sentiments using Simon Says Stamp Black ink. This stamp set is also from SSS and it is called ‘Mandy’s Flowers’. I am a huge fan of this set, not just because of the floral images in it, but also for the various sentiments – some of these are large with handwritten / calligraphy font, while others are small / typewriter like font. Also several can be combined to make meaningful sentences / sentiments on the card. I have done several cards where I used the sentiments from this set as design elements.

Lastly, I foam mounted the die cut circles and adhered some sequins around using multi medium matte. That’s it. Nothing really fancy here, but the designs on these dies themselves makes everything look beautiful.
