Layering Paper Shapes – Happy Birthday

Hello peeps, I have a happy birthday card for you using several different products from Spellbinders. I love how this turned out.

Layering Paper Shapes - 2

The card base, the sentiments, the patterned paper as well as the white flower on this card came from Spellbinders’ Dec 17 card kit called ‘Frosted Lilac’.

I used the dies from Butterfly Flutter die set to die cut a leaf using a textured green cardstock from my stash. This is an older small die of the month kit set, that I purchased as a past club kit after I became a club member.

I also did some creative die cutting using Venise Lace Hemstitch Rectangles dies set by Becca Feeken – my new favorite rectangle die set. First I cut out a strip of patterned paper and then used one of the rectangles to cut out a diagonal / angled hemstitch line through it.

Lastly I adhered everything together as you see and added a gold tape on one side + a few enamel dots to call this card done.

Do give it a try and let me know how your project turns out :-)
