Hello my lovely friends, ready for one more card?
This one uses the leftover heart banner / border from this card.
I only layered a few flower images / ephemera, a sentiment sticker / ephemera “positive vibes” and a few enamel dots to go with the leftover gold heart border piece 🙂
Here are some tips & tricks I like to go with when layering paper shapes on my cards.
- Stick to some sort of color scheme with 2-3 main colors. For this card I went with pink and gold as my main colors. The green and black are only in moderation and are not competing with the pink and gold.
- In this case the pink flowers have a gold center, so I added gold heart border and the sticker that has gold letters. I also used pink shaded enamel dots one of which is sparkly. This way I added more gold areas to balance the pink areas.
- Bring balance in terms of sizes of various shapes used – the flowers are roughly same in size here and the gold border is cut to almost that size.
- Leave a lot of white space – I think I am fan of clean and simple cards, so I like a lot of white space on my cards.
There you go. I will share more tips in the upcoming cards too. Please let me know what tricks you use, would love to learn from you 🙂
