Hi everyone, we are excited to bring you another Instagram Hop + Giveaway today for our latest release “You Are Stronger” 🙂 If you don’t follow me on Instagram, please do so here. I would love to welcome you in our little tribe. We do share lots more inspiration (and entertainment) over there than we do on the blog alone. It’s a fun place to be and yes, every month we have giveaways too 🙂
For today’s hop, I created two cards. Similar techniques and tools but significantly different looks.
Card 1:
The main image used here is part of our FREE Silver Membership – that gets you free digital stamps every month. 🙂
Key Ingredients:
- Daisies and Bleeding Hearts Bouquet
- Build a Butterfly Set 1 – Maker Forte
- Altenew watercolor pan set
- Gansai Tambi watercolor set
- Studio 71 watercolor pencils
Steps:
- Using Powerpoint I printed images for both my cards at once. I used my Brother laser printer and Canson Multi Media paper pad papers.
- I cut out the image using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle dies.
- For coloring I used Altenew and Gansai Tambi watercolors (all supplies listed below). After everything was completely dry, I also added pencil shading – with watercolor pencils, but I didn’t add water on top after that.
- I used Maker Forte black ink to stamp a sentiment on top. This sentiment is from my stamp set Build a Butterfly Set 1 – Maker Forte.
- I used Waffle Flower rectangle dies to create a pink frame
- Finally I added this colored panel on top of a top folding cardbase and called it done.
Card 2:
The background image used here is part of our FREE Silver Membership – that gets you free digital stamps every month. 🙂
Key Ingredients:
- Climbing Rose Bouquet Stamp
- You are stronger – background stamps
- Build a Butterfly Set 1 – Maker Forte
- Altenew watercolor pan set
- Gansai Tambi watercolor set
- Studio 71 watercolor pencils
Steps:
- Fussy cut the printed floral image. Watercolor on top. Let it dry completely. Add shading using watercolor pencils.
- Die cut the printed background using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die.
- Foam mount the colored image and assemble as seen with a gold glitter washi tape on one side.
- Stamp the sentiment using Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink and fussy cut it out in a small banner shape.
- Tuck the sentiment under the flowers, adhere a few gold gems and mount the entire panel using fun foam on top of a top-folding cardbase.
Hope you like them 🙂
