Creating fun backgrounds with gel press gelli plate

Hi friends, finally I caved and bought myself a Gel Press gelli plate. For my first play session with this new toy, I used distress oxides and of course, some of my stamps. I did not get all the results exactly as I wanted them, but I do love some of the backgrounds that I created.

I recorded the video and sharing it on my channel as-is. No speeding and no voiceover. Just my running commentary as I play.

As you can see, I did struggle with getting the stamped images to show up in black color. Maybe I brayed / pounded too hard with the brayer and distress oxide ink? Maybe my black archival ink pad was not juicy enough? Please share in the comments below if you know what I am doing wrong.

I will soon be converting these background(s) into cards or card panels. I will share those also with you.

Hope you enjoy this pseudo-live session with gelli plate printing. Do share your ideas too.
