Hello it’s @Rightbrainart here with a project for the February release. I love all the gorgeous floral images in this release. Florals are my favorite to work with. I chose Pocket full of Roses to create a project because I love large florals with lots of details.
Key Ingredients:
- “Pocket full of roses” Stamp Set
- Geometric Arcs Simon Says Stamp stencil
- Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers
Steps:
- Print Pocket Full of Roses on Bristol smooth cardstock using a printer. (Bristol smooth cardstock works well with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.) I used an Epson ET-2760 printer.
- Watercolor the image using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers.
- Fussy cut the image out with scissors.
- To create the background cut a piece of white cardstock 5’x7’. I used Michaels 110lb white cardstock and a paper trimmer.
- Then take a stencil and place it on top of the 5’x7’ panel. I taped my stencil down to avoid it from moving.
- I took a Pink and Main blender brush and Distress Oxide in Salty Ocean and blended it all over the stencil to create the background panel. I sprayed the panel with Perfect Pearls to give it shimmer.
- Take the floral image and put foam tape all over the back of it and then adhere it to the background panel. Centering it between the stenciled background.
- I cut the sentiment using a mini paper trimmer and took a medium blue Copic marker and went all around the edges to create a border. I put foam tape on the back of the sentiment and adhered it to the middle of the floral image.
- I added Nuvo Crystal drops in Pink Carnation to all the centers of the flower for texture.
