This post is from out Fall Friends Card Hop hosted by @createwithkas 🍂🍁
This is week 9 and our theme is Sweater Weather! This fun theme was suggested by Diane @dezalusky.
My card started with an almost panic moment 😱- I didn’t have anything that can be made into a sweater on a card so I turned to my (hoarded over the years!) stash of ephemera pieces. And when I found the little sweater, JOY!!! 🥹 (and a happy dance 💃🏻 , and a squeal, ..). From then on everything fell into place
- I added ink blending and an acorn in the center to cover the snowgflake and make the sweater for Fall instead of Winter.
- My key element, the sweater was too small to be on its own on a card front, so I added a woolen hat/cap (that one is from a die set by @teamspellbinders and it is meant for a bird, but… oh well 🤷🏻♀️). The gloves came from a stamp and die set from @pinkfreshstudio (yes, another old one and I think I had won this one in a giveaway😀)
- Now that I had a few pieces I could put together into a focal point, I was too excited to make a standard card. So I pulled out more of my @teamspellbinders die sets and went to town (meaning, I made a flip card)
Sometimes, you have to be creative! Um? No, I take that back. Always, you have to be creative! Hope you like it 😃
Hugs!
