Hi everyone! Today, I’m sharing a project that was pure joy to create. I had so much fun with this one, I almost didn’t want to stop! If you’re looking for a unique, sporty-yet-floral thank you card, this pickleball-themed design might be just what you need.
The card features two beautifully patterned pickleball paddles as the centerpiece. I achieved this look by using the Pickleball Pals Dies from Concord & 9th, cutting them from some vibrant patterned paper. To add a soft, feminine touch, I tucked several small yellow and pink flowers around the base of the paddles. These little blooms, along with the delicate green leaves, came from two other Concord & 9th sets: Citrus Crush and Afternoon Tea.
One of my favorite details is the background element—a scalloped, lattice-like piece that peeks out from behind the paddles. This was made using the Starry Scallops Coverplate Die from Pinkfresh Studio. To get that perfect edge, I cut a small section of patterned paper and then simply rotated it until it fit like a puzzle piece. It’s a great little trick for when you only want a portion of a larger die to show!
I added the bold sentiment “YOU’RE THE BEST” on the right side. This sentiment is from another Concord & 9th favorite: the More Thin Frames set by Kristina Werner, one of my all-time favorite crafters. Oh and I did stack the sentiment 3-4 times to make sure it stands out. The bottom most layer being vellum.
Finally, I added flower centers with gems and nuvo drops in matching colors to embellish and call it done 😉
I truly had a blast putting this card together, and I hope it inspires you to grab your dies and play around with some unexpected combinations. It’s amazing how a few different sets can come together to create something so cohesive and fun!
Hugs!
