Last minute Thank you cards – using patterned paper with die cuts

Hi friends, I have some last minute Thank You cards to share today. We will use patterned papers with die cuts, stickers etc and lots of layering. Since these are quick cards, they are quite self explanatory. So I am sharing all these images with the exact supplies list below. If you have questions, you know what to do ;) {Wherever available, I have used affiliate links, which means when you make a purchase, I receive a small commission (at no extra cost to you) which I use to run this blog. I truly appreciate your support!} Card 1 Supplies …

Altenew – make a wreath using leaves and flowers

Hi friends, I have one more card using mostly two stamp sets –¬†Altenew Adore You and Perfectly Perfect stamp sets and I made a wreath this time. The leaf stamp in Perfectly Perfect set has a slight curve to it and it works really well to build a round wreath. I did use some of the open leaves from Painted Flowers stamp set to make my leaves (and wreath) fuller. But I believe we can build the whole wreath using only that one leaf image from Perfectly Perfect set. To start with this card, I took the largest Simon Says …

Altenew – Build-a-flower Larkspur – Thank you card

Hi friends, I recently learnt that the flower for the month of July is Larkspur – part of the buttercup / ranunculus family. Being a July baby, I went ahead and got it :-D This week I will share some card ideas using this set and some other beautiful Altenew floral set. So, why wait? Let’s get this party started! I used Summer Afternoon mini ink cubes with my MISTI and stamped the outline layer, and the one which stamps only the back petals. Before I made this card, I had practice stamped one of the flowers with pink outline …

Pinkfresh Studio | Card using Bloom stamp set and Indigo hills paper

Hi friends, I have one more card to share today using some more Pinkfresh Studio goodies. For this one, I used one of the patterned papers from Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills (older one) collection. I trimmed it to be slightly smaller than my A2 sized cardbase. Over this trimmed rectangle panel, I stamped the two floral images from Pinkfresh Studio’s Bloom stamp set + the two sentiments you see here using Versamark ink. Well, that’s when I made a boo-boo. I used MISTI to double stamp it, but since this patterned paper is not quite thick, it shifted a little …

Thank you card series – 10 (and a bonus)

Thank you card

Hi friends, thank you for sticking with me through all those website issues. I am hoping they are behind us now. I have the last card in this series to share with you all today (and also a bonus one which I forgot to share with card #8) Here’s the card for today. Again this was a guy-card, so I kept it completely bling-free. :-O The die cutting technique used in this card was previously detailed out here. This creates a gatefold opening for the card. I used it in landscape mode instead of portrait today. After the main card …

Thank you card

Hello friends, here is the next card in thank you card series. You can check out all the past posts¬†here. This one is quite similar to the other cards – I used one main element from Pebbles Inc. Jen Hadfield accent stickers from Heart of Home collection. This came in the November 2017 card kit from Simon Says Stamp. I used foam tape to mount it on a card made with dark chocolate card stock again from SSS, same kit. I also die cut the word ‘thanks’ from gold foiled cardstock using the ‘thanks’ die from Hero Arts. Finally a …

Thank you card

Hello friends, we are still doing the thank-you card series over here. You can check out all the past posts here. This is a really simple card – I foam mounted the owl chip in the middle and stamped two sentiments – ‘thanks’ & ‘i appreciate all that you do’. I did use MISTI for the sentiments so I could double stamp them. For ‘thanks’ I used Black Archival ink and for the other sentiment, I used Hero Arts Burgundy ink. Again this was a card for one of my colleagues at work, so no bling :-) Enjoy! Supplies List …

Thank you card

One more simple thank you card today, my dear friends.  I used the same ‘thanks’ die from Hero Arts with some textured green cardstock. I combined it with more chips from the same Pebbles Harvest collection. The peas and the pod were together in a single chip, I fussy cut it out and separated the two so I could adhere it separately on my card. Just to make play on words with all the bunch of vegetables, I stamped ‘a bunch’ right under the ‘thanks’ die cut using Hero Arts Burgundy color. Easy-peasy.. ‘Pea’-sy, get it? ;-) Supplies List For …

Thank you card

Okay, next card in the series of Thank-you cards is here. Ready for it? I prepared 4 die cuts here – two ‘thanks’ words and two speech bubbles. I adhered the two ‘thanks’ words together using mod podge. Yes, this has become my go-to liquid glue these days. I am using a fine tip glue applicator in which I have filled mod podge and it is working like a charm for such small die cuts, sequins and other embellishments. I adhered the two speech bubbles using foam tape and attached the thanks words on top using (again) mod podge.  Next …

Thank you card

Hello friends, ready for the next Thank-You card? This one is a little more elaborate and involved. But so beautiful that the effort is worth it :-) For this card, first of all I did the die cutting part – I die cut the flower from a patterned paper which had gold foiled circles on it. I taped my die in such a way that the center of the flower was on the gold circle. I also die cut the matching leaf from another green-ish patterned paper.  Next I die cut a stitched rectangle from another patterned paper and to give …

Thank you card series – 3

Hi friends, sometimes a single sticker or a single chip from an ephemera is so beautiful that you can build the whole card around that one focal point. That is exactly what happened with today’s card: I used a beautiful wood-grain card base for my background. Since this is such a textured background, I used MISTI to stamp part of my sentiment ‘i appreciate all you do’. I used Hero Arts Burgundy ink to stamp this part. Using an orange plaid patterned paper from my stash, I die cut the word ‘thanks’ – both this die as well as the …

Thank you 2a

Hello friends, ready for the second ‘Thank you’ card? Here you go.  For this one, I used one of the pre-made die cuts from the Pebbles Harvest collection. To go along with it, I created several of my own embellishments. I had a strip of orange-checked patterned papers left over from another project. I die cut a scalloped border at the bottom of it. Also I die cut the word ‘thanks’ using green and white scrap textured cardstocks. I layered the orange banner and the berries dit cut with foam tape. For the two ‘thanks’ I used liquid glue and …

Thank you card series – 1

Hello Friends! So glad to have you here :-) Today we are starting a series of thank you cards. To be honest, I made all these during thanksgiving time (so most of them have fall themed colors), but these will be great thank-you cards for any time of the year. So I decided to go ahead and share them here anyways. So here’s the first card. I wanted to make this for a guy – a colleague at work. So one of my rare cards which are without bling ;-) I started by using a Tim Holtz motif resist paper …

One sketch two cards – with & without inlaid die cutting + Stamptember 2015

Hi friends, hope you all are having a fabulous week! Does it happen to you sometimes that you get drawn to the same crafting supplies over and over again for a spell of time?  I am going through that phase right now. There are two dies that I am completely in love with and I just can’t stop using them! The first one is this Clearly Besotted Leafy Accents Die and the second one is the set of butterfly dies I love both of these guys so much! I wanted to combine them into one card, so I started with something like this …
