A Soft Floral “Thank You”

A Soft Floral “Thank You”

Hi everyone! It’s Varada here, and today I’m so excited to share a thank you card that’s been on my mind for a while. Sometimes, the best designs come from just playing around with different elements until they click, and that’s exactly what happened with this piece.

I started with that crisp, white frame you see in the background. It was created using a gorgeous 3D embossing folder designed by Yana Smakula for Spellbinders. There’s something so elegant about white-on-white texture; it adds depth without competing with the main focal point.

For the floral arrangement, I went on a bit of a creative hunt through my stash! The bouquet is a mix of different dies. Some are from Spellbinders, and others are pieces I’ve picked up over time—perhaps during a trip to India or a late-night Amazon find. I love how these disparate elements came together to form a cohesive, flowing stem.

You might notice something a little different for me: I chose a non-green palette for the greenery! I went with a muted, dusty teal-grey that really lets the pinks and corals of the petals pop. To finish it off, I added a simple “Thank You” sentiment puffy sticker and scattered a few sequins and dots for that extra bit of shimmer and playfulness.

I hope this inspires you to look through your own die-collection and see what unexpected pairings you can find. It’s amazing what happens when you let the colors and shapes lead the way!

Hugs!
