Spellbinders | Kit of the month inspiration

Hi friends, it is first of the month and I have a fabulous card to share with you made using the Kit of the Month club goodies from Spellbinders. Believe me guys, these kits just keep getting better. For this card, I used the patterned paper, dies, stamp, puffy star stickers and the card base – all from the kit. I started by die cutting the top and bottom of the dress from two different patterned papers from the kit. I also used a silver glitter paper from my stash to cut out a belt and a bot for the …

[New Series] Quick and easy cards – Part 4

Hi friends, still have several more cards to share in the quick and easy series. Hope these cards give you lot of ideas on how to use some of your paper shapes, ephemera pieces included in card kits and such. Today’s cards use Spellbinders card kits – I combined the ephemera pieces from their September and October 2018. (I drew the black strings on the bottom balloons. Also the bottom ones are really hearts that came separately and the blue one I popped out of another tag.) No fancy techniques with these, but they look absolutely beautiful. The Spellbinders kits …

Spellbinders | Card kit of the month | Layering paper shapes

Hi friends, hope life is treating to well. Today I have one more floral card to share with you. I used the dies from Spellbinders card kit of the month for June 2018 for this card along with papers from the card kit (gold) as well as some papers from paper-garden.ca. I started by using a stitched rectangle with a slanted edge. This paper is from one of Spellbinders’ older card kits and the die is from Simon Says Stamp. I had made this panel ready for some other project, but ended up not using it, which was a #happyAccident …

Spellbinders | Card kit of the month | Adding interest with small stamped images

Hi friends, I am still playing Spellbinders July 2018 card kit. Today’s card it a feathery fun one. This kit had two beautiful feathers in gray-gold, red-gold colors. I wanted to use these with a tiny little sentiment as my focal point. I used a few graphic / modern stamp images from Simon Says Stamp Birthday Bits stamp set to enhance the backdrop of these three pieces and make it a cohesive card. To keep with the red-gold theme, I used VersaColor Raspberry ink and Tsukineko Galaxy Gold ink. I also stamped the sentiment “sending” in raspberry ink to make …

Spellbinders | Card kit of the month | Combining floral designs with modern abstract background

Hi everyone, one more really simple to make card today which uses supplies from Spellbinders card kit and some patterned paper from my stash (courtesy some older Simon Says Stamp card kits). I am a huge fan of organic, floral designs combined with abstract modern ones. That is what I tried to do here. Spellbinders July 2018 card kit came with three elements that you see on this card – the ‘lovely’ gold foiled word, the flower vase with foil accents and the doily behind the vase. I used one of the patterned papers with tape like designs and splatters …

Spellbinders | Card kit of the month | Shaker card

Hello my lovely friends, I have a fun shaker card to share today. This one is made using goodies from Spellbinders kits. The papers and “Hello” sentiment acetate are from the June 2018 card kit and the heart die is from January 2018 Large die of the month kit. I started by using the largest plain rectangle die and cut out a piece of the beautiful blue patterned paper with white lace design on top. On top of this, I arranged the hemstitch rectangle die but only partially cut it out so that the cut lines end when they touch …

I have combined supplies from several different card kits to make these two cards. Spellbinders December Card Kit Inspiration | Shaped Card

Hi friends! Purple love is still going strong here and today I decided to use the Spellbinders Dec 2017 card kit supplies + the Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Circles small dies to create this card. To start I created a top folding card in one of the blue textured cardstocks that came in Dec 2017 card kit by Spellbinders. I kept the card folded and taped the second largest scalloped circle die to it while keeping the top fold of the card somewhat inside the die. That way the top fold was not under the cutting edge and would not get …

Spellbinders November kit - card inspiration 3

Hello friends! Welcome to my little crafty space!! Here’s your today’s dose of inspiration –  For this project, I added a purple-pink glittery cardstock and some pink-purple sequins from my stash. I started by preparing all my shapes – two die cuts – one using pink-purple cardstock and another in teal+gold paper that came in Spellbinders card kit. I also punched out 2 leaves from teal+gold paper and 2 from gold mirrored cardstock. I layered the two die cut labels using foam tape and used the same foam tape to add the labels to the card front. Hello friends, I feel like this month I am creating all the cards with Spellbinders monthly kit. Hello my dear crafty friends, are you ready for the next card in the series of Spellbinders November Kit + Simon Says Stamp – Card Inspiration? Here ya go: Here I combined the 3 star dies from the Spellbinders kit with Lots of Stars stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. I kept a non-traditional scheme with pink and gold colors. To attach the stars to the card front, I used foam tape.  To give them an appearance of hanging, I used some baker’s twine. Using the tool-in-one, I made two holes, passed the twine through it and attached it using …

Spellbinders November Kit + Simon Says Stamp - Card Inspiration 2

Hi friends, I have one more card using the same technique as last card – I am combining supplies from Spellbinders November Kit and stamps from Simon Says Stamp to create this card. I added a fun twist to the technique of adding background stamping. Here the focal point is on a rectangle panel of its own and stamping spills over into the main card front:I started by cutting out a rectangle panel that is as wide as the circle embellishment. This embellishment came in the Spellbinders card kit. I attached the circle as well as another sticker on top …
